Located in metro Chicago,just off Route 31 ,in Elgin. The St Sophia community purchased in the seventies and existing protestant church that they enhanced to make more orthodox. In a wonderful location convenient to its 300 + parishioners .The Parish decided in early 2017 to build a new Byzantine Style Church temple and the support educational/ administrative center. They retained CJK to design the $6 million dollar project....The Church should be open in July of 2020.
