At the Patriarch Athenagoras Orthodox Institute (PAOI) at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) at Berkeley the creation of a special space for Student Worship within the domain of two upper bedrooms located within the PAOI facility.
The challenge was to create a simple Orthodox Worship Space as the “Upper Room” dedicated to Saint Demetrios and the Glory of God. The Chapel was donated by the Manolis family in honor their young son Dimitri who fell asleep in the Lord as a young man. The space is used by students and visitors for a full array of Orthodox Activities
